Biography
People seek out support for many different reasons yet there is a thread uniting these all: a hope for something to change. You may be well versed in the therapeutic process of reaching out for the first time. Either way, you’re likely listening to a nudge within that’s telling you that things can be different. And they can be. Research and science resoundingly confirm that we have an innate capacity for healing, that our bodies and mind can in fact change and want to be well. This lights me with hope and commitment to journey with you.
As a licensed therapist and social worker, I hold this work with deep love and respect, understanding personal healing and growth is the hardest yet most beautiful work you can do. While each person’s situations are unique, trauma, tensions and hardship can pull you away from being who you really are and the life you want to be living. My hope is to help you work through the various hurts and pains carried within and to embrace all parts of yourself with compassion.

I work with individual and young adults, with a special interest in women’s experiences. Common presenting problems for clients are anxiety, depression, grief, self-criticism, addiction, suicidality and general “big feelings” that overwhelm. These experiences that show up in our day-to-day are often connected to stories of trauma, abuse, neglect, grief, attachment injuries and shame – all of which I work with through mind and body-based therapies (Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
I have an educational background in social work, completing both my Bachelors and Masters at the University of the Fraser Valley where I have also been a sessional instructor. I have worked in non-profit community agencies and within private practice for over 12 years. Those around me know I live deeply, with intention, integrity, humour and authenticity. These values are carried into my work, alongside an ethic of belonging, respect, and collaboration.
